Atop a corner of a lotus pond in summer, where lotus leaves stand umbrella-like, the lotus flowers exhibit exceptional elegance. With their pale yellow cores and plentiful petals, two fully bloomed lotuses attract a dragonfly. This composition is vividly beautiful and finely detailed, almost as if it were a real scene.
About the Artist：
Yu Zhi, was born in Changshu, Jiangsu in the 18th century. He was a dedicated Court Painter and worked for the Qian Long Emperor as a government servant. His drawing is in an academic style and is inspired by nature including flowers and birds, fishes and insects, which are painted vividly with fine feathers and graceful movements.
