In this piece, Shouping, have sought to channel the unparalleled and mesmerizing techniques of the master painter, Guo Xi. He had a unique way of encapsulating the fleeting essence of mountain clouds—almost as if he had the power to capture them and later unfurl them onto his canvas with ethereal beauty. Drawing deeply from nature, his portrayal of mountains radiates a mysterious wonder.

About the Artist:

Yun Shouping (1633 – 1690), also known as Nantian, was a Chinese calligrapher and painter. He was a major artist of the early Chinese Qing dynasty. Along with the Four Wangs and Wú Lì, he was regarded as one of the "Six Masters" of the Qing period.
